Day 14 – Accounting Powerhouse Snenhlanhla Shabangu

sne

A few people come into my life and instantly make a lifetime worth’s impact. This woman is one such person. A person who embodies visionary leadership and always plays by the strictest of morality and principle books.

An avid reader who has knowledge for days. A woman who not only walks the talk, but walks it boldly, bravely, beautifully and confidently so. I met Snenhlanhla Shabangu while still volunteering at a youth-based organization called Ikamva Youth SA where we were dedicated weekly tutors to high school pupils in the Ivory Park township area and I must say, I bless that day even today.

We even refer to each other, jokingly, as “cadre’s” – Social Change Cadres!

She lives what she speaks, very dedicated and actively involved in youth development and empowerment initiatives and always willing to be a part of programmes that are geared towards making a meaning impact in the lives of young people. Did I mention also that she is by far the best Accounting tutor I can freely recommend any day?

She is that amazing and as part of my women’s month appreciation series post for Day 14 I shone the spotlight on this wonderful mother of one who is not only smart and intelligent but is a difference-maker.

Day 14 of my Women’s Month Appreciation series and this week begins with paying special credit to a real game-changer, a fellow social activist, awesome mom and a dear cadre of mine.

I got the opportunity to meet this wonderful lady during my volunteering days at Ikamva Youth SA and I bless the day our paths crossed. That organization honestly taught me so much about myself and I also got to meet some really amazing individuals who are now doing incredible things.

By far, the Best Accounting tutor that I know of and that I can easily recommend.

A qualified Chattered Accountant.

A very decisive visionary leader who knows exactly what she wants and how to get it.

A woman of style, grace and class. A woman who confidently speaks her mind and can stand her ground. With a mind-set that is generations ahead of our time. I really appreciate the fact that whatever she touches easily turns into gold.

In my mind, I see a big corporation or finance division that you will lead one day and I rest assured that with you at the helm, there shall be a different form and style of leadership, one that is filled with accountability. A no nonsense-taker. A straightforward thinker.

Over the years, I have learnt a great deal of wealth and knowledge from you and to date, I continue to. One of the most powerful pieces I have learnt from you by Nina Simone is:

You have to learn to get up from the table when love is no longer being served.”

For making raising a little girl on your own, moving up the corporate ladder, being part of a Non-Profit Organization’s strategic board, being a businesswoman too, all at once, seem like a walk in the park. I am really honoured to be associated with a powerhouse brand like yours.

You are still going to do wonders in the treasury or reserve bank and finance industry as a whole – that’s one thing for sure!

A very happy women’s month to you!

Snenhlanhla Shabangu
