Day 22 – Friends of intellect

I am proud to be associated with genuine friends that are not only pillars of support but are an inspiration. Friends who are smart, female and highly intellectual. Friends whose brains are always worth being picked for the wealth of wisdom that one can gain in return.

I celebrated these wonderful friends of mine, each with a specific role played in my life, as part of Day 22 of my women’s month appreciation series. Each has achieved great things in their lives and each, a force to be reckoned with. Each with a special place reserved in my heart for all the beautiful things and work they do.

In no particular order, To Dr Rachel Moshori, S’khulile Ngcobo, Itumeleng Mogatusi, Amanda Muchedzi and Hellen ‘Manku’ Mahlase, you are all legends in my eyes and I celebrate and thank each and every one of you for the light, colour and breath you have added to my world.

Day 22 of my Women’s Month Appreciation series and today goes out to these beautiful souls who I am blessed to be surrounded with. Ambitious career women, smart and each with a special purpose and position of influence in my life. Women who I always have meaningful conversations with, whose brains are an absolute joy to pick. Motivated, genuine and all round awesome human beings.

My support systems at all costs and today I pay my special gratitude and appreciation to them for their individual influence and successes. I really don’t know who to start with. Honestly. I especially appreciate the love, warmth, care and esteem to which you all offer Nora Madibana. So in no particular order, here goes…

Dr Moshori, you’ve defied all the odds and you continue to, daily. Your life story is one that a number of people, including myself and particularly my little sister have learnt so much from. I know you are not on facebook but thank you for all that you do. I know my sister is in good and safe hands under your watch. To date, I have never seen anyone more crazier than you. The medicine department of this country is honoured to have someone like you in its ranks to help make quality medical care a reality for South Africans.

S’khulile Ngcobo I have never met a person as warm, humble and as awesome as you are, from our VOW FM newsroom days to all the events we go to together, you are always hands on, present, active, caring and always a plan ahead of the rest. I really like how easily you take care of others and make them appreciated. The one person who I know, knows and understands the Law quite well, infact, the best Law & most stylish Law Lecturer I know. You are appreciated.

Itumeleng Mogatusi you’re the definition of the word ‘genuine’ in all ways and forms, be it at work, in your ambitions, at home or in relating to the normal person on the street. The one person who easily lights up a room. Very creative, dynamic and present. You are doing wonders with your life and I cannot wait for you to take over Minister Edna Molewa’s portfolio one day. You’re the best.

Amanda Muchedzi the definition of a true all-rounder. Mother, wife, business-woman, career-woman, awesome friend & human being all at once, where do you find the time? My varsity days were the best because of you. I am moved by your ambition and outgoing personality which easily sets you apart from the rest. The world’s stage is indeed yours!

And lastly to Pamela Lidocaine Mahlase You’re an amazing soul inside and out, full of colour and so much shade. Your intellect challenges me and your quirkiness is the best. There is never a dull moment with you and I bless the day our paths crossed.

I celebrate you and all smart, intelligent, young and determined women who are making their presence felt through their hardwork and minds wherever they are. You are inspirations and may there be many more of you out in the world.

Honoured to be associated with your powerful brands, support and influence.

A very happy women’s month to you all.
