Day 29 – My sisters Duduzile & Nelisiwe Mzili

I share a special bond with the number 29 for some odd reason. I think it’s because it’s my birth date and nothing more. I felt it befitting to dedicate the Day 29 post to the women who I shared a birth canal with, my two sisters.

Meet Duduzile and Nelisiwe Mzili. These two beautiful souls are my older and little sisters respectively who I love and treasure dearly. The two women who are my strongest pillars and who I grew up with. Women who are the epitome of love and all its ways and forms. I credit them for teaching me the true value and essence of women in my life and world.

I cannot picture my life without them. I thank God that I was not an only child.

My sisters have each experienced their fair share of trials and I have experienced some with them and appreciate the fact that they are the two most strongest individuals I know mentally, spiritually and physically. The two women who easily make my day, make me smile and laugh with ease. The two women whose happiness and joy I live for.

As women’s month came to an end, I paid my special credits to them as the women who hold great significance, worth and purpose in my life. There is so much ahead of all of us and I am looking forward to exploring that mystery. I pray that what comes is filled with nothing short of growth, wisdom, success, memories worth a lifetime and immense joy for all of us.

Day 29 of 31 of my Women’s Month Appreciation series and today goes out to these beautiful sisters of mine I that I love and treasure with my whole heart.

The people who I shared a birth womb and childhood with. The people, good or bad, that stick by and pat my shoulders and remind me of the awesome and great person I am. Always.

My heart and soul capturers.

The best cooks in town. I have learnt to cook, somewhat, from you two though not as best as you do it. I have learnt the true value and significance of a woman in my life from you two. I am so thankful that I am not an only child, that would have really messed up the life experience for me and would have made me lose out on all the memories that we share.

The love and support you two have to offer is priceless and I appreciate the high level of grace, maturity and craziness you two bring to my world. I thank God for you two every single day.

Sis Duduzile A Mzili, I will start with you as the eldest in the family, I respect you greatly. I appreciate the great wealth of wisdom, care, assistance and support you bring to the family. I appreciate the fact that although you are the eldest, you still value us, our thoughts, ideas and views. And you take very good care of us as your little siblings. You never seem to get tired of doing so. Thank you for the inspiration. And you genuinely listen to us and have a very good ear. I appreciate how easy it is for you to lend a helping hand, to be generous with your time and to offer your genuine support as our pillar when we need to be lifted. I wish God continue blessing you greatly for who you are and for all the amazing acts you do. Thank you for bringing Xolani to this world. You are raising a legend with that one!

Nelisiwe Mzili, my little sister, you are one in a million and I don’t look like you by the way. The bravest person I know on earth and the most confident, independent 23 year old that I know of. I love your laugh and your taste in humour, I live for it. I love how easy it is for you to speak your mind and just go for things. You are already doing wonders in your life and I promise to always be there, in the front row, come what may, to cheer you on and tell people how a beautiful soul you are. I remember the day you were born like it was yesterday, how I could not keep my eyes off you. Sleeping next to you because I wanted to always protect you and be with you. Your birth and presence in this world changed my life, made me feel more responsible and accountable to someone. I thank God for what your presence in this world has done for me.

I shall leave it here.

Today and forever more, I respect, celebrate and appreciate you two.

Sorry that I made you two wait so long to get your shot at the women’s appreciation month spotlight. I know you have been wondering whether or not you are in the list or not. So here you both are!

I am because of you and I love you.

A happy women’s month to you!
